A Day in the Life Alex Le Jeune
OF JOE SUN

We join JOE SUN's founder Alex Le Jeune for a typical day in her life. Her day combines work with family life in Hong Kong. She even finds time for self care with meditation and physical training fitted into her busy schedule.
6.30AM
Time to wake up! Our two kids always come into our bed for a cuddle before heading downstairs for breakfast.

7.30AM
I am NOT a morning person so I hang in bed for a bit and watch the sunrise, jot down my schedule for the day and meditate if there's time. I head down and help get the kids out the door.
It's already HOT, 33 degrees!

8.30AM
After a drink of warm water I take a quick walk through our village and then head back for a 40 minute zoom class with my friend and PT koni.

11 AM
I have a meeting with a potential new retailer (with the fanciest lifts!)

1 PM
I buzz back home to have lunch with my kids. Unbelievably they are still only allowed half days at school so they are home by 1.30 with online classes in the afternoon.

2 PM
My daughter and I play "dogs & horses" before the kids have to jump back online. Apparently I'm not very good at this game!

2.30 PM
Back at my desk to work for as long as I can before I'm interrupted. Insta content editing, signing off on label artwork, answering emails and packing a couple of orders.

4.30 PM
I have to pick up some pieces of a fun project I'm working on with a local seamstress - I ride my bike into town and meet Flora ... I can't wait to share more about this little project soon!

5.30 PM
We are super lucky to have a rooftop with an amazing view so we have a simple dumpling dinner before some TV, bath stories and bed for the kids.
7.30 PM
Once the kids are asleep my husband and I work for another hour and then watch some TV before crashing out around...11 PM Zzzzzzz

About
JOE SUN founder Alex Le Jeune was born and bred by the beach in Australia. Like a lot of us – the connection between the beach and childhood is strong. The smells, the nostalgia... memories of salty skin + sandy feet. Long summer days spent wild and free exploring rockpools and eating ice cream.
With sunkissed memories burnt vividly in her mind and a lifelong love of design and travel, Alex had a vision to create simple, comfortable and eco friendly swimwear for the children of the future. An ethically made range featuring unisex styles and the highest quality Italian fabric.
In 2019, JOE SUN was born.
A small, considered collection of skin friendly summer essentials for play and protection. Timeless, trendless pieces designed for an endless summer.
